These are the tools I used to take the Zenit-E apart. Two simple pliers. I added some small plastic tube to one of them. This I did so I could not damage the Shutter button. And some simple screwdrivers. 0.8 mm to 3.8 mm. A multimeter. A soldering iron. This last tool I used to remove the back of watches but it comes in quite handy with the Zenit-E.
The grease I use, don't use too much or the lens will turn too stiff. Too little and it will not turn smoothly. And the chrome cleaner I use, there are more of them out there.
Another cleaner, as good as the other, removes stains from aluminum and is an allround cleaner also works well against rust. Second shot is the glue I use. As you can see nothing out of the ordinary, no specially made tools no weird stuff. |
